May 10, 2026 | Kerama Islands Discover Scuba Diving & PADI OWD Course
Our guests from Russia, who joined us two days ago, came back for another Discover Scuba Diving experience! Having already completed three dives recently, their skills were already at the level of a certified diver.
In the morning, we enjoyed two dives around the uninhabited islands of the Chibishi Islands. The underwater landscape here is a fascinating maze of caves, overhangs, and coral reefs, which is why this dive site is known as "Labyrinth."
They told us that after experiencing the ocean here, they simply couldn't resist coming back for more diving during their stay. The crystal-clear waters of the Kerama Islands really are that captivating!
During the dives, we were lucky enough to encounter clownfish ("Nemo") and sea turtles. Our guests said it felt just like being inside a Disney movie.
At our shop, we use PADI's eLearning program even for Discover Scuba Diving participants. By completing a short video course of about 20 minutes beforehand, guests can join the activity with greater confidence and understanding. It also allows us to spend less time on explanations on the day of the dive and more time enjoying the underwater world.
We have English-speaking instructors available, so international guests can participate with confidence and enjoy a safe, memorable diving experience.

We also welcomed a guest from the United Kingdom today and began their Open Water Diver (OWD) course.
On the first day, training takes place at a shallow beach specifically suited for diver education, where students learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including how to use their equipment, breathe comfortably underwater, and respond to potential emergency situations.
Because our students complete PADI eLearning before arriving, the first day is focused entirely on practical in-water training. This means there is no need to spend valuable vacation time in a classroom, leaving more time to explore Nahaand enjoy the rest of their trip.
Tomorrow, we will continue the OWD course together in the beautiful waters of the Kerama Islands. Our guest is especially excited about encountering the diverse marine life that Okinawa is famous for, and we hope they will have the opportunity to fully experience the incredible underwater world that the Keramas have to offer.
From colorful tropical fish and vibrant coral reefs to larger marine animals, every dive in the Keramas has the potential to create unforgettable memories. We’re looking forward to another great day of training and underwater exploration tomorrow!
