April 14, 2026 | Kerama Islands Morning 2 Dive

We welcomed new guests from the UK and the US again today and headed out to the Kerama Islands. Our destination was Kamiyama Island, an uninhabited island just a 20-minute boat ride from Naha.

For the first dive, we explored an eastern drop-off. Countless schools of Yellowfin goatfish and triped large-eye bream filled the reef, and the visibility offshore exceeded 30 meters, offering stunningly clear views. We also had an encounter with a very rare loggerhead sea turtle today! Its massive 1.5-meter body and powerful features made for an incredibly impressive sight.

For the second dive, we moved to a site called “Crater,” a mysterious spot with several underwater formations resembling lunar craters. The visibility improved even further, and the shallow coral reef looked vibrant and full of life. Following our earlier encounter with the loggerhead, we were lucky enough to see a green sea turtle here as well. Surrounded by five blue tangs (Dory), it truly felt like being inside a Disney movie.

We’ll be back out enjoying the ocean with the same group again tomorrow!
