April 29, 2026 | Open Water Diver Corse

Today, following on from yesterday, we continued the Open Water Diver course with two wonderful guests from Hong Kong. On this second day of training, we headed to the beautiful Kerama Islands for boat diving, where they worked hard to further develop their diving skills in a real open-water environment.

The exceptional visibility in Kerama Islands can sometimes make the water seem deeper than it actually is, which may feel a little intimidating at first. However, by taking the time to relax and gradually adapt to the conditions, both divers gained confidence and were soon swimming comfortably and freely underwater.

As the following day was her birthday, we also did a special underwater photo shoot to celebrate.

At our shop, guests also have the option to add one extra dive after completing the course. After successfully earning their Open Water Diver certification, they enjoyed an additional fun dive and had the chance to fully appreciate the beauty of Kerama’s underwater world.

Throughout the day, we explored a variety of stunning dive sites, from dramatic underwater landscapes featuring caves and drop-offs, to shallow areas filled with beautiful coral, and white sandy bottoms illuminated by the sunlight above.

If you would like to experience the world-famous Kerama Blue for yourself, please feel free to contact us.

We keep our groups small and offer English-speaking instructors, so you can join us with confidence and peace of mind.
