Schedule of PADI Open Water Course

We usually conduct the PADI Open Water course over two days. If you need more time to master the skills or feel uncertain, we can arrange additional days.
Day 1
- Pre-study via e-learning
- We ask you to complete pre-study via e-learning before the practical training begins. The required time varies from person to person, but according to PADI's official announcement, it takes approximately 8 to 15 hours. We will always check the completion record of your e-learning before starting the practical training.

- 9:00 AM Pickup from your hotel.
- Free pick-up service is available for hotels within Naha city. The first day's training takes place at a shallow beach. You will review the use of the equipment you studied in advance by actually handling it. You will learn about potential hazards in diving and first review the skills you will practice underwater on land.
*If you feel unsure about the first day's beach training, you can switch to pool practice instead. In that case, an additional fee of ¥7,000 will be required.

- 10:00 AM – Dive 1
- First, it is important to get used to breathing underwater. You will learn how to handle situations such as when your regulator comes out or when your buddy runs out of air. Additionally, you will practice how to deal with water entering your mask. Once you become comfortable with underwater activities, you will practice maintaining neutral buoyancy. This is one of the most important skills in diving. It takes time to master, but it is essential for safe diving.

- 11:30 AM – Lunch Break
- Please bring your own lunch. We provide a cooler box, drinking water, and hot water, so we recommend bringing instant noodles or similar warm meals during colder seasons. We also offer coffee and other drinks after meals.

- 1:00 PM – Dive 2
- You will continue practicing descents and work on removing and reattaching your BCD and weights both at the surface and underwater. Let’s also learn how to perform an emergency swimming ascent in case you run out of air. If you have any concerns about the next day's open water training, feel free to practice as much as you need.

- 3:00 PM – Take you to the hotel
- After the training, you can take a warm shower at the facility. We provide free transportation to your hotel if it is within Naha City.

Day 2
If you choose boat diving for the second day of training, the schedule will be as follows. In that case, an additional fee of ¥7,000 will be required for the boat ride.
- 7:00 AM Pickup from your hotel.
- Free pick-up service is available for hotels within Naha city. We will arrive at the port in 15min. Once everyone is ready with their gear, the boat staff will provide boarding instructions. They will explain the sea conditions for the day, safety precautions during the boat ride, and how to deal with seasickness if needed.

- 7:45 AM – Departure
- We will head toward the Kerama Islands. The specific island we visit will depend on sea conditions, but it takes approximately one hour to reach our destination.

- 9:00 AM – Dive 3
- You will practice the skills learned in shallow water the previous day in the open ocean. It’s natural to feel nervous for your first boat dive, but there’s no need to worry—we will take our time and proceed carefully to help you get comfortable.

- 10:30 AM – Dive 4
- At this point, you’re in the final stage of mastering your skills. The feeling of freely diving in Okinawa’s beautiful waters is truly indescribable. A variety of tropical fish, and sometimes even sea turtles, may come to celebrate your achievement.

- 11:30 AM – Lunch Break
- The boat is equipped with a cooler box, drinking water, and hot water. Please enjoy your own packed lunch on board. On hot summer days, jumping into the sea from the top of the boat can be a fun and refreshing experience.

- 12:30 PM – Extra Fun Dive
- Since you have already been certified as an Open Water Diver, you have the option to add a Fun Dive. If you are not too tired, we recommend this option. You can freely take underwater photos with your camera, carefully observe the fish, or explore a wide area—whichever you prefer, it's all enjoyable. The scenery of Okinawa’s ocean varies depending on the dive site. Dive as much as you can and create unforgettable memories!
An additional dive is available for ¥4,400.

- 3:30 PM – Arrival at the port
- After returning to the port, we will write a log. We offer free photos or videos to customers who post reviews on Google Maps or Tripadvisor. We would appreciate it if you could post your memories of the trip. We also offer a free return service to your hotel.

Here’s a list of what to bring:
- Swimsuit (It’s recommended to wear it before leaving the hotel)
- Towel
- Change of clothes
- Packed lunch and drinks (We also provide tea onboard)
- Seasickness medicine

We really look forward to your participation. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
