I am Sam from TERIYAKI DIVERZ. Today, I’ll introduce hotels that are perfect for those who want to enjoy diving while staying in Naha, ensuring a comfortable and fun trip even if you’re traveling alone. Before I moved to Okinawa, I used to visit Naha for diving trips 4 to 5 days every month for 3 years. That means I’ve been here more than 30 times. Now, I'd like to share the benefits of staying in Naha from my own experience.
The Benefits of Staying in Naha
・If you arrive on a morning flight, you can go 2 dives in the afternoon. ・Most dive centers in Naha offer free shuttle service, so there’s no need for a rental car. ・The port is very close, and once you board the boat, you can sleep for an hour and reach the Kerama Islands. ・Being a city, Naha has everything. If you need anything, there’s a large diving shop called mic21. ・Easy access to Kokusai Street, so you can enjoy sightseeing, food, and drinks after diving. ・We usually exit by 2 PM at the latest, so you can catch a flight after 8 AM the next day.
For those who want to enjoy diving easily during their trip, staying in Naha is highly recommended.
The hotel offers a variety of room options, from single capsule style rooms to loft rooms that can accommodate up to four people. Capsule rooms start at just ¥3,135, making them very affordable. With amenities like a sauna and a great selection of manga, you can relax even after a day of diving. What truly sets this hotel apart is its diving equipment storage area. With secure lockers and spacious washing areas, guests who bring their own gear can properly maintain and care for it.
For those staying long-term, the Mr. KINJO chain is a great option. There are over 20 hotels just in the Naha area. What makes these hotels stand out is the inclusion of a kitchen and a washing machine. Diving leads to a high turnover of clothes, especially in the summer! 💦 Wet swimsuits, rash guards, and T-shirts —being able to wash them daily is a big advantage. Additionally, with the kitchen available, you can quickly make snacks like sandwiches to bring along on the boat.
A hotel opened in 2023, managed by the famous Orion Beer. Located just a 3-minute walk from Makishi Station, it’s right along Kokusai Street, so the location is unbeatable. And the best part is that this hotel offers an "All-You-Can-Drink Beer Plan"! You can enjoy unlimited beer at the restaurant, bar, or even in your room—wherever you like. 😊🍺 For those diving the next day, please be careful! 😂
At TERIYAKI DIVERZ, we offer free shuttle services within Naha City and operate tours to various locations, including the Kerama Islands, Manza, and Itoman. We are happy to answer any questions you may have not only about diving but also about your Okinawa trip in general, so please feel free to contact us. For first-timers, here’s a rough schedule of a typical day as a reference. We look forward to your participation.
