You are welcome to let us know if you have any preferred dive sites. However, the final dive sites will be selected based on sea conditions, boat operations, and the experience level of the group.

No. As we welcome many guests from overseas, we do not provide lunch in order to accommodate different dietary and religious requirements. A cooler box and hot water are available on the boat, so please feel free to bring any lunch you like.

Free pickup and drop-off are available within our designated area of Naha. Guests staying outside the pickup area can meet us at the port.

How long should I wait before flying?

After a day with multiple scuba dives, we recommend allowing at least 18 hours before flying.We finish the final dive and exit the water by 3:00 p.m. at the latest, so you may fly after 9:00 a.m. the following morning.

What Makes Kerama Diving Special?

One of the biggest attractions of the Kerama Islands is the variety.

On good days, underwater visibility is often around 20–30 meters, and summer conditions can sometimes be even clearer.

Depending on the dive site, you may find colorful coral reefs, bright white sand, drop-offs, schools of tropical fish, sea turtles, rays or reef sharks.

Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, but the large number of available dive sites allows us to choose locations according to the conditions and experience level of the divers.

That is also why diving Kerama for two or three days does not necessarily mean repeating the same experience.

More Than 40 Dive Sites

The Kerama diving area includes locations around Zamami, Tokashiki, Maejima, Kuroshima, Nagannu and other islands.

We normally do not decide the exact dive sites far in advance.

The captain and guides choose the locations based on the wind, waves, current, tide, visibility and the experience level of the guests that day.

This gives us the flexibility to select calmer sites for newer divers or more dynamic diving when the conditions and group experience allow.

Is Kerama Suitable for Open Water Divers?

Yes.

Certified Open Water Divers can join our Kerama full-day tour.

For newer divers, we can use calmer bays, mooring lines and easier dive sites when conditions allow.

More experienced divers may have opportunities for drift diving, deeper sites or stronger currents depending on the group and sea conditions.

Please tell us honestly about your certification, number of logged dives and how recently you have been diving.

That information helps us provide a safer and more enjoyable experience.

Can OWD enjoy diving in Kerama Islands?

Typical Kerama 3-Dive Schedule

A typical day starts with pickup in Naha at around 6:50–7:20 a.m.

After boarding the boat, it takes approximately one hour to reach the main Kerama diving area.

We usually make two dives during the morning, followed by lunch on the boat.

Please bring your own lunch. Hot water and a cooler box are generally available onboard.

After lunch and a sufficient surface interval, we make the third dive before returning to Naha at around 3:00–3:30 p.m.

The exact schedule may change depending on sea conditions and boat operations.

Schedule of 1-Day Tour to Kerama Islands

Boat & Facilities

For our full-day Kerama tours, we generally use shared diving boats in the 50–60 ft class.

The boats normally have a toilet, freshwater shower, covered seating and space for dive equipment.

TERIYAKI DIVERZ shares the boat with other dive shops, but we guide our own guests as a separate group.

Unlike Manza diving, where the boat usually returns to port after each dive, a Kerama full-day tour normally stays at sea until all three dives are finished.

If you are prone to seasickness, we strongly recommend taking motion-sickness medication before boarding according to the instructions. Aneron is a popular option available at Japanese drugstores.

What Is Included?

The price is ¥31,900 per person for 3 dives.

The price includes boat fees, tanks, weights, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, insurance, free pickup within our designated Naha area, and complimentary underwater photos or video when conditions allow.

Optional rental equipment is also available:

Dive computer: ¥1,100 per day
Underwater camera: ¥3,300 per day
Dive light: ¥1,100 per day

Please bring swimsuit, towel, dry change of clothes, lunch and drinks.

Kerama or Manza?

Kerama and Manza offer very different styles of diving.

Kerama is a great choice if you want clear blue water, coral reefs, white sandy bottoms and a large variety of dive sites during one full-day trip.

Manza is especially attractive for divers who enjoy caves, drop-offs and dramatic underwater topography, with short boat rides and a return to port after each dive.
